H&M has been losing ground to rivals such as Zara or online
stores such as ASOS, per BI, which have cut down supply chain times to
as little as a week and can roll out new styles quickly. As customers
look to other retailers for the latest designs, discounted clearance
sections have become a common feature of H&M stores.
H&M
reported a 61 percent decrease in profits in the first quarter of 2018,
per CNBC, and shares were down 6.4 percent to a 13-year low. The drop
